I really, really want to See Verstappen in a Mercedes, I’m not paying too close to every race/driver, but I can’t help root for him.

Where is the spoiler?
Kidding aside, I still don’t know where I stand on Verstappen. He’s clearly very talented, but his age/immaturity still shines through a bit too much (ignoring team orders, the Monaco crashes), though it’s getting better.

Well, it was after I saw that he placed behind the two Mercs, and I figured someone could reason it if they saw this post before watching the race.

Also, it’s not like older drivers don’t make mistakes either, I just like to see someone my age kicking ass lol.

Certainly true. He reminds me of a(n even) better Grosjean: youthful arrogance that sometimes spills over, but an entertaining racer that has the potential to mature into someone great. I actually like how he’s not afraid to try new things, like the overtake on Rosberg today, but that means that when an attempt goes wrong, it’s often high-profile.

Just because it’s a bad idea, doesn’t mean it won’t be a good time!

only if they were used to use the harder tire compounds and tiny wings LOL
then drafting and close quarters racing would be necessary... then we would get to see some interesting racing lol

Verstappen is a little shit, more arrogant that Rosberg.

Lauda asked Kimi what the problem was and Kimi said if it was the old days with you guys we would handle it differently, haha. His attitude is just like you would expect from a teen, I see those little shits all the time acting like tools, now give them an F1 car and attention!

No he knows what he’s been doing, he said it has worked for him and got him to F1. The other drivers he raced before said he has been doing that stuff forever. he has made mistakes but he does a lot of it on purpose.

Holy thread revival! But yeah, it’s become clear since Silverstone that he isn’t interested in changing his driving. ‘Forever’ in his case means ‘in karting’, and that’s a different world entirely. He hasn’t got the best of examples in his dad either.
